We employ nearly 500 people in the UKI, and they are the ones who truly drive our business forward across all brands.
We are committed to fostering an environment where they, along with approximately 2,500 global colleagues, feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential. These initiatives extend beyond learning and development opportunities to encompass a strong focus on employee wellbeing.
We were delighted that this philosophy was recognized during the recent assessment, and that Crown Worldwide Group in the UK and Ireland has received the ‘We Invest in People” Gold accreditation as well as the “We Invest in Wellbeing” Silver Accreditation by Investors in People (IIP).
These endorsements build on our previous recognition, as Crown UKI achieved the IIP wellbeing accreditation last year, and were awarded We Invest in People Silver in 2022.
Achieving Gold in the We Invest in People award places the company among the top 28% of organizations, with significant improvements noted in areas including positive societal impact, employee recognition, and teamwork.
The Wellbeing accreditation acknowledges that we are serious about health and wellbeing, demonstrating that it is more than mere compliance with regulations; We set out to engage proactively with all our team members across many aspects of life, including physical and mental health, work-life balance, and financial wellbeing.
The report highlighted marked progress in the areas of leadership, citing the increased visibility, positive actions to foster empowerment, and demonstrating genuine concern for staff wellbeing. Improved communication was also noted, with staff mentioning an accessible HR team as well as a focused Wellbeing Strategy. Our commitment to investing in new systems and training for all staff across all roles was also acknowledged.
The report also mentioned how staff have demonstrated high motivation and discretionary effort, often going above and beyond for colleagues and clients.
