Sustainability

Crown Worldwide Group’s approach to sustainability builds on almost six decades of corporate social responsibility (CSR) work, which has seen us stand side-by-side with
our people, our clients and the communities in which we operate.

But we are evolving our legacy, seeking to take a simple, progressive approach, focused in particular on how we can reduce environmental impact – while continuing to deliver on the social and governance agenda.

In 2025, we took a decisive step forward in our climate journey when the Executive Board endorsed Crown’s commitment to set a Science‑Based Target (SBTi). This commitment aligns us with the world’s leading framework for credible, science‑aligned emissions reduction and reinforces our determination to play an active role in addressing climate change.

We care about the diverse people who work with us, are conscious of our impact on the environment, and are proud to support the communities in which we work. Our sustainable logistics practices reflect our commitment to reducing environmental impact.

“Over the last 60 years of business, we have undertaken a lot of wonderful work to support, give back, and contribute prosperity to the communities in which we operate. This work is the embodiment of a philosophy that has been central to the way we go about our business. But we recognize the need to drive far greater impact through our business activities.

That is why sustainability has become a strategic priority for us. We understand that it’s imperative we take fast action to do more and play a bigger role in protecting and preserving the climate and environment, building on the areas of sustainability in which we have always been so strong.”

Our place in the world

Understanding our place in the world means acknowledging that – as an organization – we are reliant on key resources, from people to energy. Through our strategic approach, we create value to sustain and enhance those resources, while making the world simpler to navigate.

Our brands vary in impact, but all are committed to reducing their environmental footprint. From using recycled packaging to investments in ecommerce fulfilment and retail logistics, we strive to lessen our impact on the planet.

Our approach:

Crown completed a global materiality assessment in 2023–2024 to help identify the environmental, social and governance issues most relevant to our business, stakeholders and industry.

The results now guide our ESG strategy, priorities and performance tracking. They also help align our reporting with recognised frameworks, including GRI, CSRD, EcoVadis and the UN Global Compact, ensuring our sustainability efforts remain focused, relevant and transparent.

Our report is split into three areas:

Sustainability at Crown

“We have made major strides, earning an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, formalizing our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and embedding sustainability into the business through SMART ESG performance goals, integrated carbon reduction planning, and the introduction of key policies, including our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy and Sustainable Procurement Policy in the past year.

We also aligned our 60th anniversary celebrations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing our global values through local impact.

Reporting

In 2025, we continued to build on a six-decade long CSR legacy, with sustainability positioned as a core enabler of Crown’ 2030 Group Strategy. This ensures ESG is integrated into strategic decision making, investment priorities and performance management to support resilient profitable growth.

Crown further embedded sustainability across the business, advancing ESG integration, strengthening governance, and driving measurable progress against key priorities.

You can read about the approach we’re taking to sustainability in our 2026 report, which looks back on our progress under environment, social, and governance in 2025.
