We’re proud to share our latest Global Sustainability Report, celebrating the progress we made over the past year across our environmental, social and governance priorities. From cutting carbon emissions to supporting our people and communities, it shows how sustainability is becoming part of the way we work every day—and an important part of our 2030 Group Strategy.
Turning ambition into action
A major step forward was our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). With Board-approved targets and a 2024 baseline now in place, we have set a clear path to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 53% by 2035. In the first year of the programme, we reduced emissions by 5.58%—ahead of our annual target of 4.2%. It’s an encouraging start and a clear sign that practical action is making a difference across our global operations.

Working towards a greener Crown
We also made strong environmental progress in 2025. Smarter fleet planning, electrification, energy-efficiency projects and greater use of renewable energy all helped reduce emissions and energy consumption. Renewable electricity grew to more than 29% of the energy we purchased, while local teams delivered practical improvements—from energy-saving initiatives in Hong Kong and renewable energy projects in India to solar-powered infrastructure in Indonesia and New Zealand.
Our circular economy services continued to grow too, helping clients reduce waste and keep valuable assets in use for longer through refurbishment, reuse and recycling. In 2025, more than 300 items were refurbished through these services, helping to prevent nearly 2,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and divert 416 tonnes of waste.
Supporting our people and communities
Beyond environmental progress, the report also reflects the contribution and experience of our people. Employee engagement remained high, with 90% of colleagues saying Crown is a great place to work and 86% taking part in our annual Employee Experience Survey. Learning continued to grow as well: employees completed more than 4,000 hours through LinkedIn Learning and averaged 14.6 hours of training each, exceeding our Group targets.
Our 60th anniversary gave us even more reasons to come together. The Crown Pioneers Challenge brought colleagues from 11 countries into a global innovation programme and inspired dozens of new business ideas. At the same time, teams around the world took part in the Global Giving Back Project, supporting causes connected to climate action, quality education and community wellbeing.
Strengthening responsible business
Behind this progress is a continued focus on doing business responsibly. During the year, we strengthened ESG oversight, ethics and compliance processes, sustainable procurement, data protection and information security. Our latest EcoVadis assessment recognised these efforts with a score of 63 out of 100, placing Crown among the stronger performers in our sector. Environmental performance improved by 24.6%, while sustainable procurement was one of our highest-scoring areas.
