As we head swiftly towards the conclusion of another year, we are happy to share 2025’s final issue of The Bulletin. Looking back, it has been another productive, rewarding, and eventful year for Crown.
One very productive step this year was committing to SBTi carbon reduction targets, and we have now publicly pledged to make a material improvement. Making an environmental impact is difficult, since 97% of companies have sustainability initiatives, but few show measurable results. We’ll examine why in Greenwashing and Greenhushing: What makes an office “green”?
When we consider what makes work rewarding, top of our list is working with international colleagues like our Group VP of Marketing, Norah Franchetti. In her long career with Crown, Norah worked in Asia, Europe, and the Americas before settling in the UAE. In this issue, she shares why this destination is growing in appeal for her and other expats.
Lastly, a company can have an eventful year for good or bad reasons. One thing that helps keep it positive is to have strong corporate governance. Not sure how? Then definitely read the latest blog by Chief Risk Officer Gary Maguire, who talks about the increasingly critical need for ESG policies and oversight.
At Crown, we are grateful that 2025 – our 60th year – was eventful in a positive sense. During this anniversary year, we made progress towards a more balanced business mix to serve customers in more ways, including those in this issue.
On behalf of all of us at Crown, we’d like to wish you happy holidays. Thank you for your partnership in the past year and wishing you a prosperous 2026.
