Crown Worldwide Group has marked a significant period of global investment with the opening of three developments across India, South Africa and New Zealand.
The new and expanded facilities in Delhi, Johannesburg and Porirua near Wellington respond to distinct local customer needs, from integrated business services and flexible self-storage to resilient, climate-controlled logistics facilities.
India
In Delhi, Crown has inaugurated a new 135,000 sq. ft. facility on a 7.5-acre site in Siwari. One of Crown’s largest facilities in India, it brings multiple operations together in one location and includes an 82,000 sq. ft. warehouse with capacity for up to 900,000 cartons. It is Green Building certified, with 20 per cent of the site dedicated to green coverage.
South Africa
At Crown’s property in Longmeadow Business Estate, Johannesburg, the Group has launched FlexSpace, a premium and adaptable alternative to conventional self-storage.
Movable internal walls allow customers to combine individual units into larger, tailored spaces as their requirements change. The development is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises, e-commerce companies, distributors and organisations requiring secure inventory overflow or scalable micro-warehousing.
FlexSpace also provides secure storage for private customers, including space for luxury and classic vehicles, furniture, valuables, renovation projects and seasonal equipment. Both ground-floor and upstairs units are available, with individual spaces approximately the size of a single garage.
New Zealand
In Porirua, Crown has completed two purpose-built storage and logistics buildings, creating additional capacity and specialist capabilities for its operations across the Wellington region. Located in one of New Zealand’s most seismically active regions, the development includes IL2- and IL3-rated buildings. Sustainability features include a solar array, electric vehicle charging stations and a 570,000-litre underground water storage system serving the site’s sprinkler network. Both buildings have achieved a 4-Star Green Star rating.
While each development responds to a different market, all three reflect Crown’s long-term approach to investment: combining global expertise with facilities and services designed around the needs of local customers.
