Between January 15-16, our key European Transport service partners met for an annual gathering. Paul Morris, European Transport Manager and Peter Visser, General Manager, Switzerland, both hosted a meeting too. Participants received presentations on developments within Crown and key clients, such as Airbus and Novartis, who we serve across mainland Europe.
Neil Watkinson, manager of the newly created Crown European Internet Lead Sales Centre (EILSC) in Prague, provided insight into how partners will benefit from the additional business we will generate through this streamlined process. EILSC is the second center of its type and will work in conjunction with a newly created team, based in London, to cover the entire European continent.
Paul Morris was excited to give an update on progress in implementing Crown’s ePacking system, which will become a mandatory tool for all partners in 2019. Customer feedback and claims performance from 2018 was reviewed by Stuart Lawson, Global Alliance Manager. As a result, partners will receive regular updates in the year ahead and swift action will be taken to improve performance wherever needed.
Many of the topics generated lively discussions and it’s important for us to hear from both sides. Louis Spies from White & Co was brave enough to give us a frank assessment of what working with Crown involves and means to his company.
After a well-earned celebration in a local restaurant, the meeting culminated with the announcement of the European Transport Partner of the Year Award. This year, the award went to a newcomer of the team, Matt Ballard of Ballard’s U.K. This was based on their excellent service feedback and claims performance.
We’re all looking forward to another successful year of service to our clients and to the venue reveal for next year’s meeting!
