As a global company, operating in a multitude of markets, it’s our duty to give back whenever we can. Investing in the communities where we operate is in our genetics. Our employees are empowered to work with local charities, each allocated two paid days per year to participate in philanthropic initiatives.

CSR is at the heart of everything we do.

Here are some of the activities we’ve been involved with this year.

First Moscow Hospice

Every year, our members of our Russia team visit the First Moscow Hospice which runs on volunteers, to help maintain its amazing garden by planting the flowers, mowing the lawns, removing weeds and cutting the bushes.

Habitat for Humanity

Some of our U.S. team volunteered to help the Danbury Chapter of Habitat for Humanity prepare a home for a family in need. Habitat, as they are commonly referred to, helps to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter; working toward a world where everyone has a decent place to live. The work transformed a neglected property to a clean and safe environment for a family to call home.

River clean

The French team, along with some of their children, cleaned the Seine river bank in Achères, a suburb of Paris. In just two hours they collected 1000 kg of waste containing plastics, glass bottles, cans, paper, plastics bags and shopping trolleys.

CLAPA

Three employees, one of whom a member of the Board, took part in the Orbit Abseil to raise money for their charity partner, CLAPA. Other team members volunteered their time to assist with marshalling an accompanying event on the same day. A fun and rewarding day!

Flea market event

In partnership with Green Initiatives and the Community Center of Shanghai, Crown China held its annual flea market event in Shanghai. The day’s event involved food, music and second hand deals to raise money for various charities. The weather was beautiful, and it was a great success.

San José Foundation

Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the San José Foundation has provided temporary housing to more than 2,000 orphaned children, with around 1,400 children successfully placed with an adoptive family. Our Santiago team held a fun-filled activity day for children between the ages of 3 – 6. One of the team’s key objectives is to bring as much happiness and joy as possible to the lives of those children supported by the San Jose Foundation, this event did just that. The team commented: “We are proud to be part of such a wonderful program and fortunate to count these unforgettable experiences as part of our job.”
