Crown Netherlands Participate in Alpe d'HuZes to Fight Cancer
Crown, an international relocations, moving services company, specializing in moving and storage, private and corporate relocation services, is raising funds to fight cancer. Crown Netherlands will cycle up the 21 bends to the Alpe d'Huez on June 7th, 2012. This is a Dutch organized charity cycling event where individuals or groups cycle Alpe d'Huez as many times in one day as they can. The aim is to do the climb at least 6 times. The name, Alpe d'Huzes, is a combination of the Dutch word for "six" and the name of the mountain. Each bend is a numbered board starting at the base of the mountain. Cyclists strive to surpass every bend until they reach the top of the mountain to bend 21. The event is a derivative of the famous stage in the Tour de France in which the climb to the top of this mountain is made.
Alpe d'HuZes was created with the goal of empowering people to convert the sense of powerlessness, caused by cancer, into one of strength. The organization achieves this by motivating as many people as possible to constantly challenge and expand their boundaries. Their motto is: "Never, ever quit!" They refuse to accept any limitations in what they can and will achieve.
Crown Netherlands will always appeal to those who share our belief to push their limits. Whether canvassing for sponsors, cycling the famous Alpe d'HuZes, creating a medical program that will revolutionize health care or any other fund raising activity, we are willing to go where no one has gone before.
