The Anniversary of Odyssea race has been sponsored by the Institute of Gustave Roussy for the last several years. The institute is the largest and most comprehensive cancer center in Europe and organized the race to raise funds for breast cancer research. The annual event is part of the international “Pink October” program, which encourages public initiatives to heighten awareness on breast cancer and to raise funds to combat the disease. Every year, people have dressed in pink, demonstrating their commitment to the fight against cancer, giving hope to people suffering from the disease.
