Debbie has been with Crown for four years and has over 16 collective years of work experience in the field of Human Resources. In her first year at Crown, as part of the Group Learning Services Team, Debbie was greatly responsible for setting up and administering Crown‘s eLearning center, as well as researching, writing and creating most of the courses offered at the time. She also planned for and implemented several training workshops.

In 2004 Debbie was promoted to Manager, HR and Training, APAC, where she has been responsible for driving the gamut of HR and Developmental activities, including:

  • Implementing, facilitating and coordinating competency based staff development, in conjunction with Group and Regional Trainers and external vendors, ranging from technical competencies to personal effectiveness competencies to Leadership training and coaching.
  • Compensation and benefits for senior managers.
  • Strategic succession planning.
  • Recruiting and transferring senior staff into and around the region.
  • Delivering leadership training and coaching for line managers.
  • Creating and implementing stringent recruitment and assessment procedures for APAC.
  • In coordination with the other regional HR managers, working on groupwide HR standards for performance management and recruitment.

Debbie has a bachelors degree in Psychology and English Literature, has completed her research for (and is in the process of writing) her dissertation on Education in Hong Kong, which will complete her qualification for an MSc in Training and HRM from the University of Leicester, UK.
