Crown Dubai Angel Appeal

Crown Worldwide, an international group leader of global mobility, corporate relocation services, information management and high value logistics, joined the charity, Angel Appeal, to support their annual Wrapathon at Dubai Festival City. The goal of this event was to wrap Christmas gifts for the seafarers who are away from their families during Christmas. For over 20 years, Angel Appeal has been donating gifts to the sailors during the holiday season, bringing some cheer to the long voyages they face, away from their homes and loved ones. This year, the goal was to beat the 2010 record by 50 more wrapped gifts, for a total of 5,050! The team wrapped 5,136 gifts, breaking last year's record and exceeding this year's goal! In order to reduce waste, no plastic or paper wrapping was used. An Angel Appeal T-shirt was utilized to hold together complimentary toiletries and the package was accompanied by a card that said, 'Merry Christmas! Someone in Dubai is thinking of you.' Crown Dubai also donated recycled cartons and provided logistics support to transport the gifts to the vessels.
