Nelson Akinrinade, Esq., SPHR, is general counsel and vice president, Human Resources, for Crown Americas. Nelson joined Crown in 2004 and is responsible for Crown Americas' HR strategic and organizational development as well as Crown's global data-privacy compliance program.

Prior to joining Crown, Nelson performed legal services as a labor and employment attorney representing and advising corporate clients in various Human Resources compliance, organizational development and HR strategic issues. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, in Texas, at the federal level and in the U.S. Supreme Court.

He holds a bachelor's degree in English, a master's degree in English and Literature, and a Juris Doctorate degree. He is a member of the Society for Human Resources (SHRM) and is SPHR certified—SPHR is the highest professional certification for human resources professionals.

In his spare time, Nelson enjoys computer technology, golf and photography. He was the winner of Kodak's Kinsa Photo Contest for 1994. His winning photograph was exhibited for a year at Walt Disney's Epcot Center in Florida and at National Geographic in Washington, D.C.
