Little Sprouts
In 2007, when Crown established a facility in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Chairman, Jim Thompson, and his wife Sally, had the opportunity to travel the outlying country side. It was brought to their attention that one of the local villages needed a real school for its children. Determined to help create a safe and secure place where the students could better their chances for the future through education, Jim Thompson provided the funds for a new school building. It provides education for 1,000 children living in this remote area of Cambodia. In 2009, Crown opened a second school building which integrates over 100 Cambodian children whose lives have been dramatically affected by HIV. These include healthy, HIV negative children orphaned by AIDS. Unlike most schools in Cambodia, the school also admits orphans who are HIV positive.

Little Sprouts is a program which supports these HIV positive orphans. Run by the Maryknoll Society, the program cares for Cambodian children who have lost both parents and are refused by, or do not have, relatives to take care of them. The organization gives financial assistance to families that have children with HIV/AIDS, and also has been providing life-saving generic anti-retroviral medications. This project has strengthened children's immune systems and has prevented the constant barrage of opportunistic infections that AIDS causes.
Crown will continue helping the children of Cambodia and is proud to provide an opportunity for other people to help these needy children, and to serve as a method for collecting cash donations and directing them to the Cambodian children.
